Steven, I get this too. Change your desktop appearance to Windows XP, and it
should stop. Hope that helps.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] windows live messenger problem

hello list.

my problem is this: once live messenger has started up and i have minimised
it to the taskbar whenever someone sends me a message jaws keeps repeating
and repeating the contact's name and won't stop until i open the chat
window.

it doesn't matter where i am, whether it be windows explorer or on the
internet this problem still happens.

i am running jfw v8 on an xp sp2 machine.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

regards.
