Hi Stephen, There is a program called System Access Remote Incident manager, from Seratek.
It's completely accessible, and gives you full control of the other person's computer, as long as it is connected to the internet. It does not have to be installed on the other person's computer for any length of time. The process is this. You install the program on your computer, and, once configured, you send an e-mail to the other person, which contains a link where they click or enter on, to download an active X which will allow you to connect onto their computer. You actually hear their synthesizer speech coming through your computer's speaker system, and is immediately uninstalled after the remote access is terminated. There is also a password that the two of you mutually agree on, that you and she have to enter on, which tells the software that you are both aware of this access, and are fully cooperative in the process. There is also another program, created by the same company, but instead of Remote Instance Manager, it's called Remote Access Manager, and it deals with self contained home networks. I believe that both these packages are expensive, but I can't say for sure, as I haven't received a demo copy of it yet. If you go to their website, the acronym for the programs are RIM and RAM for the incident and access versions, respectively. There was also a demonstration of the program done on the Blind Access Journal, and you can download it at the following link, as published in the Top Tech Tidbits: http://www.shandrow.com/audio/podcast/serotek_rim_demo_1.mp3 Hope this helps.
