Hello everyone, I have a friend using JAWS 3.7 and AOL Instant Messenger 5.9. A few days ago, she told me that her away messages (messages sent to people when a user is away from the computer) have been modified while she is away, and lets just say the stuff that has been inserted into her away messages aren't list appropriate. She first tried changing her password and even her screen name; we thought the issue was taken care of until this afternoon, when she reported both away message changes and even changes to her profile. Text was entered at the bottom of her profile, and 5 minutes later (after she messaged me and told me about it) the text was gone.
I have an idea of what is going on...My thought is that someone is hacking into her computer and messing with AIM...Among other things, I'd imagine. I am not well versed in this kind of stuff, but I'm the only one she knows who is reasonably proficient on the computer. Does anyone know what might be going on and how I might go about solving this for her?
