I wouldn't say so.

I think you are to a certain extent right in occasionally wanting to 
actually let it go flat, and then recharging it, but that's my personal 
opinion, and I have just been told in the past that what it basically comes 
down to is that for the battery to maintain it's ability to actually store a 
charge, it should occasionally be drained and then recharged since it's 
effectively a sort of chemical reaction that allows it to store a charge (or 
was in the old days).
