Hi Dan, Unfortunately, one of the major problems with reading combo boxes is how the web page is written.
Many code writers give no thought to the blind when it comes to accessibility. You probably have run into the situation where you open a combo box and then try to arrow down to see the choices, and right away it takes you to another page. That's the same problem with not being able to read the choices.
