Here's another idea about Word and Jaws reading only part of a line.  If you 
have been using another program which might still be active, your Word 
window is reduced in size and both programs are shown simultaneously  For a 
Jaws user, the result is that you are hearing only a part of the line.  The 
next time that happens, go down another line.  If the rest of your original 
text is on the next line, then you have a reduced window.  All you need to 
do is to maximize the existing Word view.  Press Alt Space, then X for 
maximize and there you are.
Now, if you go down a line and the rest of the text isn't there, there's 
something else going on.
