Hi Tammy,

One thing I forgot to mention is that you should check out what kind of
delivery these places have, and what sort of packaging they do.

If they have a telephone number, by all means, call their customer service
department to find this out.

While I know about hard drives in some fashion, I am not a knowledgeable man
on delivery methods, as most of what I get I get personally at the store, or
within arms reach, where I can feel what I'm buying.

That way, I also have control over how it gets to my house from where ever
it is I'm buying it.

While external hard drives are portable in some way, they are not above
damage.

I have heard horror stories of people having their hard drives standing on
edge, having the table or desk they are standing on bumped, and the thing
falling over, damaging it beyond measure.

If a little fall like that can damage it, imagine what a fall onto a van
floor will do if it isn't protected.

I'm sure these puppies come nicely protected, but I assume the drives
themselves come protected from carry damage, not necessarily shipping
damage, so it might be a good idea to call where ever it is you're buying
the hard drive from, and asking about this.
