There is no such thing as a *dumb* question on this list and long may that
continue. This is a great strength of this list.

Most printers default to colour printing but you can check this by tabbing
to the printer properties page on the printer dialogue box in Word. The
actual layout of properties will depend on your printer driver.

You do not have to have a white document. I think what you mean is that
Word and windows can operate in high contrast inverted coolers? In this
setting Windows and Word use what is called an "automatic" font colour.
The effect of this is that the font colour on screen will be white against a
black or dark background whilst the print font which appears on paper will
be black on a white background. You do not have to adjust this.

If you do have some sight and want to use different shades of coolers then
not using high contrast white on black may help you. You may be better off
with the high contrast black on white screen setting as it can be hard to
see red or blue for example against a black background.

I hope that this is what you were asking.

Regards

David

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Color Printing

Is this a dumb question or what..

How do I print in color? Do I have to create a like Word document in color
first to get the printer to print it in color?

Thanks,

Patricia
