Something to bear in mind is that I am told that with ink jet printers and
some cheaper thinner paper double sided or duplex printing may be
problematic as the ink can show through from one side of the page to the
other, giving a messy result with some printers when printing duplex output
. Having thicker higher quality paper can resolve this.

Anyway in Word 2003 you will have to do something like the following. I have
not done this so I should try a short document first to experiment with.
Someone else may have the answer definitely.

First of all you should check that your printer driver does not have a
setting or wizard to walk you through this process. I would check this by
going to the print dialogue box and tabbing to options and see what is
there.

Assuming that nothing is there to help you I would do the following.

In the print dialogue box tab until you hear print all pages in range combo
box. Cursor down to select odd pages and print the job.
Now you have to reinsert the paper go back to the print dialogue box and
change the settings to print even pages.

You should then use a sighted person to see if this has worked ok or if none
are around scan the what you have printed to check this has worked ok. What
you will have to learn by experimentation is what direction to reinsert the
paper to achieve the desired results. Hopefully you will not have to reorder
the pages but again as I have not done this you will have to experiment with
a short document to find out.

Personally I would get a duplex printer if I wanted to do a lot of double
sided printing.

David Griffith
