My hidden file viewing is in fact on, and if I check the file attributes of 
that specific file, it isn't actually marked as hidden, and when I now again 
did that search, it did in fact find it - who knows, maybe I was typing 
something wrong last time - LOL!
(FWIW, I am/was in fact searching for *.dot)
