Subject: [Blind-Computing] System Notification Errors

I was looking at something from the jaws site regarding turning off copied
message below..
One feature of Windows XP that most of us can live without is error
reporting. Every time a program crashes it wants to send a report to
Microsoft. Here's
how to disable this "feature".

list of 7 items
1. Click Start
2. Open Control Panel
3. Click on System
4. Click on the Advanced tab (at the top)
5. Click on the error reporting button (on the bottom of the windows)
6. Select Disable error reporting
7. Click OK.
list end
I already had this unchecked but after that area the next item is critical
notification error check box, I left it checked but since I already had this
checked I have still encountered some system locking up and having no
speech. The computer is still running but no speech to determine the cause.
This recently occured while I was in Open Book and a message said something
to the effect either error or that debugging thing and of course bye bye my
scanning session and use of the computer and speech.

So my question is, should I uncheck the critical notification error
reporting that is in this same area as said mentioned above?

Thanks,

Patricia
