Hi Lennie, I am not currently useing the program, but you can try this: Instead of exiting, or ALT F4, just minimize the program, that may cause it to go to the tray. HTH, Richard Q. Hi, I installed Windows Defender yesterday and I have a question. I am under the assumption that this software always runs in the background to catch and remove any spyware. It is not in the system tray. I exit out of Windows Defender so it would not come up when I do alt+tab around the windows. Is there any settings to keep it running in the background while I am doing other things on the computer? After I exited it, is it running in the background and I don't realize it? Many thanks in advance.
