Lenny, I have continued to explore windows defender. What I have come up with is an error message about a pathway that cannot be found. It comes up when I hit save in, I believe, the tools area. The error has a lot of numbers and letters but I can't arrow through to get it so guess I'll try to copy and paste it. I haven't found a contact us link but there may be one. marilyn
