hi,

go to the start button, then press alt and enter. This will take you into 
the task bar and start menu properties. Once in there, press control tab. 
Your screen reader will say, "start menu tab", press the down arrow once 
until you hear classic start menu. press enter. you will land back on the 
start button. now the menues will look like those of win 2k and other 
earlier versions.
