She will need to open up into her inbox. She will need to go to the menu and
select tools and move down to options. Once she has selected options, she
must control tab until she see spelling options and then tab through the
spelling options and she will see the default language as English. She must
reselect English, by moving down and moving back to English and close out
the page and she is done.

Hey Lanette,

Could you please give me step by step instructions on how to tell her how to
do this? Thank you so
much for your help. I do not know anything about Vista. That is why I need
to have the
instructions to help her.

Thanks again,
Donnie

What she needs to do is go into the options menu and select English. She
will see that English is already selected, but never the less she must still
reselect it. This is a glitch in Windows Vista and I had the same error
message when using spell checker for the first time on my new Vista
computer. However, once I researched the problem and followed the
instructions above I had no problems.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] E Machine & Windows Vista

A lady from my church recently purchased an E Machine Computer with Windows
Vista. I have Windows
XP, so I know very little about Vista. There are two questions that she has
about Vista.

#1. When she tries to use the spell checker in her email program, she gets
the following message:
This language is no longer available for spell checking. Please select
another in the spelling
options dialogue.

What does this mean, and how can she make the spell checker work?

#2. Her machine has Windows Media Player on it. How can she burn a CD from
music that she has
downloaded on her computer?

She doesn't use JAWS. She is a sighted person. If anyone can help with
either of these questions,
I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
Donnie
