Hi, Welcome to the list! I also live in North Carolina. I am a high school student. I like computer related stuff (I'm the one who gets hear the message in the family "Jeffrey, help me fix my computer." or, "Jeffrey, help me fix something, I think I broke it." (The thing broken is software or something like that not working correctly. In other words, I'm the family tech support guy.) I use JAWS. I am blind, but I do have light perception. Greetings! Now that I have been posting to the list for a couple days, I thought I would introduce myself, instead of being unknown on the cyber-front. My name is Rodney and I live in North Carolina. I have a background in technology that spans over 25 years. I am mainly a PC user with roots in DOS, Windows and PC repair/installation. I currently work at a bank programming on a mainframe in COBOL and CICS. I also have a working knowledge of some web technologies like web design and accessibility. So in short, if it is computers I'm into it in some fashion including a podcast addiction. As for vision, I am legally blind with usable sight (condition known as Coloboma). I currently do not use screen magnification software, but I am familar with Zoomtext. I mainly use auto-focus telescopic glasses from http://ocutech.com (a must).
