I designed databases using Paradox Version 5 for dos but I understand that 
Borland haven't upgraded that software for a while now.  I too remember DB2 
by Ashton Tate, one of which used an IBM XT computer with two 5.5 floppy 
drives but I thought that the newer version was too cumbersome and one 
needed to learn many commands.  That was over twenty-odd years ago! ! !
