I've had this problem. The only solution I know of is to go into documents and Settings and find the inbox, or outbox folder where the undeleteable e-mail is, and delete the folder. Vista will recreate the folder on it's own. Note this will also delete any other emails yu have in that folder, so save them first. Unfortunately, this is a defect in Windows mail. After this happened to me several times I gave up on Windows Mail and went to using Outlook 2007. Blessings, Tom
