I have been experimenting with archiving the list in house so to speak. They
will only be available to list members who have a valid password. They are
still going to the free service right now but I'd like to receive some feedback
on this idea. If you go to the general list information page I believe you can
access the archives from there. This will require some minor effort on your
part but if it works out then we won't be so dependent on the free service and
you can also download the entire month's archive in a single compress file.
Please send any feedback on this idea to me personally and not to the list at
all. In my opinion the in house archives are easier to search. They will take
up some of my web space but after they reach a certain size which has yet to be
determined I will simply download them and store the files locally. If they
might be needed in the future then something could be worked out. Like I said
this has only been going on since I made the last major move in January as a
trial kind of thing, and everything hasn't been worked out so far as how long
they will be stored on the server ETC.
