On both my laptop and desktop machines, I have automatic update set to on.
Despite that, I have to periodically go to settings/windows update and go to 
Microsoft's site and
do the updates by hand.
Why are we given these so-called facilities which don't work?
Don't get me wrong!  I don't mind manually updating my o.s.
I just wonder, however, how much faster my machine might function if these
"facilities" weren't there.
I mean, what's the sense of having something to click on, when nothing 
happens when you
click on it?
The first myth of management:  It exists!
