Hi Mark,
You will have to access the Norton control panel, not exactly sure of the
correct name,
and from there, you should be able to turn off the anti-virus, and specify a
length of time to have it off.
You should be able to get there from the system tray, or the programs list
from the start menu.
I don't have it installed, so I can't be more specific.
