Alex, if you buy Windows Live One Care in a retail store, you can get it for as little as $20 but if you get it off the web as most people do, Microsoft wants $49 for the first version and then an annual fee for the rest of the time.
It's pretty good except for one particular option. It has a backup feature in which you should be able to check or uncheck files you want backed up. But I can't find a way yet to get to that file list. It has to be there somewhere but I haven't found it. My particular backup scan wanted to back up about 10000 files and would have taken 12 CDR disks. That's ridiculous to say nothing about how to manage that many disks and keep them in the correct order. It could be done but I did manage to look at some of the files and the system was talking about Outlook Express files. I couldn't care less about those and in fact, I should probably go in there and delete all of the junk. That's a job for a rainy chilly day when I have nothing better to do.
