Rick, I'm not a sighted person, but I've done so many unautomated xp installs, that I can tell you that a prompt usually appears on the screen just as the disk starts to spin up, saying press any key to boot from CD. it's easy enough to judge when to do it, as soon as you hear the disk start to spin after you turn the machine on, start hitting the enter key, that's what I do anyway.
