Hi all, the problem has finally been solved. I had to download a hotfix from the Microsoft support site that makes the file wmnetmgr.dll to work properly under Vista. After installing this hotfix, I can play streams such as Insight Radio absolutely fine, both with Windows Media Player itself and SpeakOn. To be honest, I'm quite appalled to the fact that Microsoft didn't look into these issues before Vista was even released to the public, because if I would have downgraded to XP I can 99.9% guarantee that asx streams would play without a glitch. Not the case with Vista obviously, even under SP1. Personally as a programmer I would have made sure that absolutely everything would work satisfactorily before distributing it to other people. When I did a Google search last night, the problem I encountered is a very common one and seems to affect most, if not all, Vista users. I hope this will not happen again in a future version of Windows. Just my thoughts, so I look forward to hearing your comments and feedback regarding these, and once again thanks so much for trying to help; it was greatly appreciated.
