Hi Cathy, Once you get to a spot that you wish to pause and resume later, and, assuming you're using Jaws, press the letter M to place in the placemarker, at which point a dialog box will pop up asking you to name the placemarker. You can either leave it blank, or name it, it really makes no difference, as the placemarkers are numbered.
Later on, when you resume playback, pause the playback, then press alt+shift+M to get a list of the placemarkers, and arrow down to the placemarker you want to start from, and press enter. At this point, resumed the playback with the spacebar or the C key. Hope this helps, and, of course, if you are using anything other than Jaws, forget everything I've just said. LOL. Happy listening.
