Hi Patricia,
This is a Microsoft update.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888111/en-us
Basically, it is a audio driver update, and if you remove it, then your 
system will revert to the previous driver.
If you were not experiencing any audio problems before
installing it, then uninstall it, and we'll go from there.
