For the shortcut key, find the shortcut on your desktop, and hit alt + enter on it to open the properties, then tab to the shortcut key control, and there I normally try things like jaws key + number row 3 to allow a bypass of a key combo, then hit ctrl + alt + w to try set it, but to double check tab out of that control and then back again, etc. etc.
