David, that does not necessarily work as you have described.  I once tried 
to copy my address book listing and make a document file out of it.  The 
results came up in some kind of odd configuration that MS Word couldn't deal 
with.  The text was there but only the Jaws cursor could navigate through 
it. I think that the problem I'm describing might be unique to the Address 
Book however.  The other files are handled differently.
But can you or anyone else explain what happened there?  Is there a way 
around it?
What I was trying to do was create an entry for use when sending messages to 
a large group on my e-mail.
But I had to eliminate e-mail lists like this one.  I was thinking I could 
just copy the list, edit out the problem addresses, then paste the finished 
product into the "To"  field when sending out the message.  I finally ended 
up doing it manually which took a lot longer.
