If you are uncomfortable getting around files and folders in an FTP view in
Internet Explorer, it is possible to get an easier view. Once you have a
Internet Explorer window open on an FTP site, go to the view menu and
select, "Open FTP site in Windows Explorer". This opens a standard Windows
Explorer folder view on the FTP site. It is very easy to view the files an
folders an copy and paste files to and from the FTP site.

At least I know this works in Vista. I don't know if it is there in XP.

I also managed to have that FTP site "mounted" automatically at startup
through the "Map network drive..." option in the Tools menu of Windows
Explorer. Just keep Tabbing through the dialog.
