Your friend here is the Insert plus V command for Jaws whilst in a Excel
spreadsheet.

Basically navigate to the roe on which the column titles are.
Press Insert V and then press T for Titles.
Press space bar to turn title reading on.
Then go down until you hear the option set column titles to row. Pressing
space here again will let Jaws pick up the roe your column titles are on.
Press enter to return to your spreadsheet.
If you want the row titles read as well repeat the process by first
navigating to the first of the row titles and again press insert V. This
time select set row titles and again press space bar.

Jaws should now read the colon and the row title as well as the cell value
as you move through a spreadsheet .

Hope this helps.

David Griffith

Hi David,

I am currently learning how to use Excel. If this is not asking to much, Can
you tell me how to set up spreadsheet tables to read column and row titles?
Or point me in the direction to learn how to do this?

Thank you,

I am not aware of any Jaws commands for reading charts , but remember behind
nearly every chart is a spreadsheet table. I normally request from whoever
produces the chart, a copy of the spreadsheet table that the chart has
been produced from.

If you know how to set up spreadsheet tables to read column and row titles
the result can be just as good in Jaws and Excel. Post again if you need
help with this.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Jaws and Stock Charts

Hi All,

Is there anyone here that is successful reading stock charts with Jaws? Or
is Jaws even able to read charts and grafts? I'm most interested in weather
jaws can read Line, bar and candle charts. Any information would be greatly
appreciated.
Thank you very much.
