HI all. I'm using Vista Home Premium and IE7.

While in Windows Explorer, When I go to the properties of my favorites
folder, I'm looking for the locations tab which is supposed to be there.
But it isn't. Only the General, Sharing, Security, and Customize tabs are.

What's happened is I've made a mess with my favorites, and I'm somehow
trying to tell Internet Explorer 7 where it is located. Also, when I go to
run and type shell:favorites it says my favorites folder doesn't exist.

To explain how I made this mess, , I first moved my favorites folder off my
computer onto a flash drive, but then put them back. As a result, somewhere
along the way I messed up whatever it is that tells Internet Explorer 7
where I have my favorites at so it can display them.

So, when I go to add favorites and organize favorites when in IE7, none of
my favorites show up there any longer. Also, I can't add any new Web pages
when clicking add favorites. It doesn't do anything but close and go back
to the Web page I'm trying to add.

Even though I have the favorites folder back in my username directory where
it belongs, Internet Explorer can't locate it. I've done hours of research,
and mostly I'm stumped except for this location tab thing that is supposed
to be in properties. But for whatever reason, that choice isn't in the
properties of the favorites folder.

I'll say this. While researching this I've found that quite a few folks
have had issues like mine, but so far there hasn't been a concrete solution
that I could find. Vista has given several people problems when they've
tinkered with the favorites folder. I think I may have really made a big
mess. Thanks for any thoughts. In the mean time, I'll keep trying to
figure this out (and keep knocking my head against the wall. smile).
