Ed Sharp will open PPT files . It will not obviously read any graphic elements. It will not read PowerPoint slide shows but you can convert these back to PPT files within PowerPoint and Ed sharp can be used then.
In general Ed Sharp is excellent and free, as a bonus it will open PDF files as well providing they contain text..
