When you get the document is empty message, this means that the document was
scanned into the PDF format.  So what you have is a picture or image of the
text, and not the actual text.  I believe that you can send these types of
documents through programs like OpenBook and Kurzweil to convert them into
text.  You can print the document if it is not very large and scan it back
into the computer through again, a OCR package such as OpenBook, Kurzweil,
Abby Fine, or even the OCR feature in MS-Word.

Good afternoon everyone:
I have a question and that is how do i use jaws with adobe acrobat reader?
I am using jaws version 9.  Every time i go to read a doccument in adobe it
tells me there is no doccument and that the doccument it empty.  Is there a
setting i need to change in jaws to allow me to read acrobat pdf files.  It
tells me there is 2 pages then when it opens it says it is empty doccument.
Can anyone help me with this?
