Hi Bob, Rick, & Victor,

Thank you all for the responses. There have been no electrical changes to
the computer or in the computer room. The AC power plug for the sub-woofer
can't be reversed and everything that is computer related is plugged into
the large Monster brand. surge protector which has a grounded plug. I have
checked all connections and all connections and plugs are secure. The
humming/buzzing occurs whether the cell phone is in the room or not. I'm
wondering if this sound could be coming from the amplifier or transformer in
the sub-woofer. I could also try plugging the sub-woofer into a wall
socket instead of the Monster surge protector to see how that works. Maybe,
I just never noticed this humming sound before with the dogs barking, the
wife screaming at me, & Doctor Phil consoling me over my computer woes.
LOL Thank you all for the advice & ideas. I was concerned that the sound
might be a serious electrical problem so before leaving the house I turned
the power switch to the computer off, turned the Monster surge protector off
and unplugged the sub-woofer from the Monster protector to be on the safe
side. If you all have any more suggestions please, let me know. Anyway,
thanks again and have a great week-end.

Mike

Hi Mike,
Try reversing the plug in the outlet.
