I have recently upgraded my SpyBot to version 1.6, and I never found a check
box for blind user mode. I have never seen that box in any of the spybot
versions that I have had. Is there any other way I can get that check box
checked?

The latest version is actually 1.6.0 and the installer will take care of
any previous versions you have installed.
Remember to check the box for blind user mode!
