Marianne, You can not uninstall Windows Messenger from your PC and/or laptop since it is part of Windows. However, you can disable it if you wish. And if you'd like to create a password, Go to your CTRL pannel and sellect user accounts and choose your name. Then find the the create password link. HTH.
