Make sure that there are no third party toolbars like the Google Search toolbar or the Yahoo toolbar installed or active. I have found these interfere with Jaws reading of elements of web pages. Google applications will often appear in Add remove programs applet in control panel. I think you have to turn the Yahoo version off from within IE.

I tried enabling add ons and turning the one JAVA option in internet explorer. nothing has helped. What is going on and how do I fix it? I am running JAWS 9, the latest IE, vista home addition, and Norton's 2009. Any ideas are appreciated.
