Hi Folks, Wondering if anyone has some information on Quad Cores to impart.
My brother and I are having a disagreement as to how they work, or utilize the capabilities. I am saying that the four cores split the processor speed by four, where as the argument of my brother suggests that the core quadruples the processor speed. For example, if a quad core is rated at 2.83 GHz, it will divide that number by four, so in essence, what you have are four cores running at 0.775 GHz, or 775 MHz per core. My brother doesn't think so, so I'm wondering if anyone can shed some light on this or not? Any help would be appreciated.
