These instructions are for XP. I am not sure whether they will be any use in Vista. Re Folder size In Windows explorer make sure that details are checked under the view menu. Then go back to the View menu and select Arrange Icons by and from the resulting sub menu select size. This will organise your files and folders with the largest first in a list. Pressing insert up arrow will read the details. Pressing insert plus control key plus 1 2 3 etc will read the column details. For some reason File folder file size is not included in list though size of files within folders is. Pressing insert plus control and 2 will give a file size in detail view. The only way of getting folder size as far as I am aware is to press alt plus enter and to bring up properties box and then insert plus B to get Jaws to read this.
Re USB problems. I am not clear if you are having problems with just one device or all devices. If it is just one device I suspect that it might b a hardware fault. Test this by trying the pen on another computer. If this is a problem with all USB devices you probably need to reinstall the USB driver on your PC. I have done this many times without problem but remember surgery sometimes goes wrong depending on your PC. Basically you need to go to My Computer and press the application key to go into properties. >From her you need to press control plus tab until you hear the hardware tab. Then press tab until you hear Device Manager and press enter. There is a tree view here which you will need to tab to. . You need to go to the Universal Serial bus controller entry. Press the right arrow to open this up. You then need to cursor down to the universal host controller. On my PC this is called 24 Intel(R) 82801G (ICH7 Family) USB Universal Host Controller - 27C8 Press the delete key and confirm that you want to delete the device . Come out of device manager and restart your PC. Your USB drivers should reinstall automatically. I cannot promise that this will work but it has sorted out some USB problems for me in the past.
