First is Windows Mail set up properly? Can you send out an email from the
client itself?
As far as the Default Programs dialog in Vista, it is a fairly accessible
dialog. Once you arrow down through the list to select Windows Mail, Tab
through the other buttons. I believe there is at least a description, and
buttons to set the program as default (sets it as the default for all file
types it can open), and configure the default settings for that program.
One last thought, you may get a warning the first time that you send a
message from IE. In fact, there could be warnings from both Vista and your
firewall. Confirm that this is a trusted, valid application and allow this
action now and in the future.

Oh sorry, I thought we were talking about XP. That is what I get for not
reading too carefully.

There isn't, you have to press the choose defaults for this programme
button. Then there is a list view of items you can check and uncheck.
I
can
select the items in this list view but not check and uncheck them. How
do I
do it using JAWS 10?

If you go to the tools menu in IE and select internet options and go
to
to the programs tab there should be a drop down box to select your
mail
client.

I have a problem with Internet explorer. Whenever I click on a send
mail
link it says the operation could not be completed properly because
the
default e-mail client is not properly installed. What do I need to do
to
fix this?
Internet explorer version: version 7
Windows version: vista home premium
only e-mail client installed: Windows mail
