Dear Mitch I have never used this function but surely the best way to check is to simply press F5 in Juice and see if new podcasts are being downloaded? By the way I never use Juice to either play or manage Podcasts after they have been downloaded. It is much easier to do this in windows Explorer . You may already know this but Juice downloads your Podcasts into a folder and places podcast mp3s into a sub folder named after the subscription name. So in my Podcast folder Juice has created folders called Blind Cool Tech , The Archers and so on.
Where the download file is depends on the installation version of Juice. If you are lucky the folder will be in you're my documents folder. Sometimes Juice buries this folder under Application Data in document and Settings Profiles. To find out /change where Juice is downloading your mp3 podcasts go to file and then preferences in Juice. Tab down until you hear the folder Juice is downloading to. You can either leave this as it is and place a shortcut to it on the Desktop or change the path to a folder more easy for you to find. The benefit of using windows explorer is that there is absolutely no danger of changing any settings in Juice. You can simply use it to download your podcasts. Juice will detect that you have deleted podcasts using this method and does not try to re-download them. I also prefer the flexibility of Explorer and am more used to doing things like ensuring that podcasts are listed in date order, changing this to alphabetical order and so on.
