I guess you should try super Anti Spyware as suggested but this will not be able to remove Trojans which are pre-loading into memory at start up. Once loaded into memory the file loading the Trojan is write protected and it is impossible to delete. This is why you need to go into safe mode where no drivers and start up files including Trojans will be loaded into memory. Still it is worth giving SuperAnti Spyware a try to see if it is a Trojan which is not loading into memory.
If you do need to rebuild Windows then you need to copy your Outlook .dbx files which contain all your emails. I have not used Outlook Express for years but from memory you can find these under Documents and Setting, then the folder with your name on, then local settings, then application data, identities , Microsoft and then Outlook Express. There may be an identity folder with a load of numbers in the filename. You may also have set your folder options to show hidden folders. Once you have copied your dbx files you should be able to restore then in OE. You had better check with some one else on the list how to do this in OE as I say I have not used it for years. I remember there is however a way of restoring the .dbx files. Karen's Replicator is a good simple and accessible backup data program available from the Jaws User Home Page Programs. Download it and give it a try. I think there is a tutorial on it as well done by David F.
