You need a wifi connection for it to work and last time I looked they are
not accessible to the blind.

I read about Internet radio somewhere, but I'm not sure what web site. I
know it can be used independently from your computer. It just connects
into your wireless network--you need to have a wireless router in your home
for it to work. It sounded pretty cool to me, but I can't remember whether
it was accessible. It was expensive, if I remember right, so I probably
just pushed it out of my mind.

It sounds to me like an internet radio that can be connected to a
wireless network, in which case i'm not sure how it'd be usable, unless
the buttons are raised and menues and so on are able to be memorised
easily, certainly innitial setup will have to be done with sighted
assistance.

Do you know any blind people that use WiFi radio independently? Can it

operated without having access to Jaws and if it's a portable set, can
you
use it in another room other than where your computer is even though
it's
connected to your computer's usb port? Are you charged extra by your isp
because you have it? I found a cute little set by RCA for a wonderful
price
on Amazon and want to know more about it.
