Hi
For all those who are using vista and want to set up your microphone, I finally figured out how to do it. Go to control panel, then to sounds, go to the recording tab, select your microphone from the list, then go to configure. This brings up the speech recognition section. One may not want to have speech recognition turned on but all we need to find is the set up microphone function. Then once you complete this process click finish and I followed this with an alt F4 to leave speech recognition. I tested my microphone and amazingly it is now working. I hope this information is a help to folks.

God bless,
Mark

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Echo Link Computer Microphone Question

Hi
I am trying to figure out how to activate my microphone under vista. My system on my laptop gives me three choices and no matter which microphone I try nothing seems to happen when I plug the mike in to the jack on the front of the computer.
Any ideas on where to go from here?

God bless,
Mark
