In vista as you know is not longer Outlook express, it's windows mail.
Windows mail doesn't use .dbx files, instead it keeps each message in .eml
format. What your friend can do is to copy the dbx files and paste them in a
new folder in the desktop on the vista machine. Then let him open windows
mail and go to file menu and import if I'm not mistaken. I'm not in vista
now. Then just follow the prompts and when it asks for the place where the
.dbx files are stored, point it to the folder your friend created and pasted
them. His folders will bea automatically created, so no need of doing it by
hand.

there's at least 18 folders.
