Think I did answer before, but just make sure none of your other keys is
stuck as such, like the control key since that would make the cursor move
around the desktop without highlighting items.
Can try turning on jaws keyboard help with jaws key + number row to test
this, and the same keystroke turns it off again.
Alternatively, try routing the jaws cursor to the other one using jaws key +
numpad minus and then use the numpad / key to perform a mouse click and see
what happens then.
Stay well

Subject: [Blind-Computing] jaws miss behaving
Merry Christmas!
Dear all, this is my second message to the list that I haven't get
response to my question.
Recently, I am unable to land exactly on the desktop shortcuts or icon
that I wanted.
After I focused the desktop, when I need to highlight on My-Document or
any other item, jaws saying that:
"not selected." And Jaws reading other items which I didn't call like
My-computer or OutlookExpress.
Its repeating icons instead of reading them as supposed to do so.
I visited the JAWS Users List home page to tips&trick link and I did some
changes which makes jaws work better.
Still I can't solve the problem.
I am using Jaws 9 with win XP.
I appreciate your help in this regard.
