What's the actual current version of jaws running on your machine? It's just possible it's been updated to a slightly newer version than that which is on your CD.

If jaws runs from the system tray, hit jaws key plus J, and arrow up to about, and hit enter, and you'll find the specific version number there.

If you run jaws in a normal window, I think the about option is on the help (alt + H) menu.

Just possible you'll then need to go download that versions full installation file to in fact perform a repair.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Repairing Jaws 10.0 Installation

Does anyone know or can tell me how to go about repairing the installation
of Jaws 10? I tried using the Jaws 10.0 cd and that didn't work as told me already had a previous version of jaws installed and needed to uninstall the previous version prior to continuing. So didn't know if there was a way to
repair the installation of Jaws 10?

Thanks.
