Hi Hal,
Thanks a lot for the help. So, you believe there is no need to change the
default settings?

Parham, this is a chance for me to come right out of the woodwork. I
myself
use Kaspersky, although it is not accessible with Jaws. My dad uses it on
another machine and it is licensed for at least 3 computers. Anyway, here
are a few tricks I picked up when using this software. To update, I first
open system tray insert f11. from there, I arrow down until I find
Kaspersky
then whack enter. To update, I push letter U, then alt f4 to close the
almost invisible window. But in truth the program updates itself I'd say
about 3 times a day so you can just install and forget it. To do a scan, I
simply open My Computer, then arrow down to Local Disk C and tap context
menu key. I choose scan for viruses from the context menu that appears.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] KasperSky AntiVirus
Hi there,
As I had said earlier, my girlfriend had gotten this virus and hence her
friend had suggested an anti virus she uses -- KasperSky.
Since my girlfriend is also blind, I downloaded the program first to see
how
good it is. It was weird. I mean, during my eight years of computing, I
had
never seen this one happening. The thing was, Jaws curser wouldn't go to
the
application window. The application window would obscure Desktop and so I
would hear things like, "My Computer for help click here", but when I
tried
to get past the word "computer", jaws didn't move anymore and it was
stuck.
I tried from all four sides and I couldn't enter this window with Jaws
curser, although when reading line by line, Jaws would read the text of
the
window.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what is causing this to happen? Her virus
problem is solved, but I am still curious.
Thanks!
