You can however download a couple of extra voices for that synthesizer, and
while you can find the installation in various places, simplest is probably
something like:

FWIW, MS Mary is the voice of these two recommended by most audio game
creators if you're going to use MSSAPI.

No, you cannot switch to another synthesizer with Narator. You can do that
with NVDA, Jaws, Window Eyes, Hal, and SystemAccess, however.
