I like to use SpeakEasy.net to test my broadband speed. It is found at:
http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/
It uses Flash and has meters for the sighted. But it is accessible. Just
press Enter on a city of your choice and wait a short while. All the
destination buttons are clearly labeled. The results within the Flash
object is not clear, but the results are clearly repeated immediately below
the Flash object. Does anyone know the navigation key to quickly get to the
end of an object?
Additionally, the Verizon help desk usually asks me to test my speed at
their site:
http://www2.verizon.net/micro/speedtest/hsi/
This is a two page process, but it is accessible. I think they have a
simpler URL to type into the address bar. The above is what was saved in my
favorites.
